The meaning of OEE
OEE is known as a production efficiency indicator, which clearly shows the percentage of truly effective production time. In order to understand this, 100% OEE means manufacturing only good parts, at maximum performance, with no downtime (i.e. as fast as possible). OEE provides a single indicator to help identify losses, measure progress and improve the productivity of production lines.

OEE calculation
The easiest way to calculate OEE is as the ratio of Total Productivity and Planned Production Time. The preferred OEE calculation method is based on three OEE factors: availability, performance, and quality.
